KAMAN - KALEHÖYÜK MUSEUM OF ARCHAEOLOGY CANDİDATE TO THE ‘EUROPEAN MUSEUM OF THE YEAR AWARD’

The Kaman-Kalehöyük Museum of Archaeology, built by virtue of a donation by the Japanese Government, provided within the framework of its cultural grants programme, is nominated as candidate for the ‘2012 European Museum of the Year Award’. The museum, which had been jointly inaugurated by Minister of Culture and Tourism Ertuğrul Günay and Prince Takahito Mikasa from the Japanese Imperial Family as a symbol of Turkish-Japanese friendship, was already accorded last year the ‘Best Green Museum Award’.
